The Kingdom of Valoria is a self-declared micronation of symbolic and cultural character, structured as a constitutional monarchy. Founded on 20 June 2025, its main objective is the promotion of a distinct cultural identity, the preservation of local memory, and institutional and political-social experimentation in a playful and community-oriented context.

Valoria stands out within the Lusophone micronational sphere for the creation of national symbols, institutional norms, and symbolic governmental structures, without claiming real political sovereignty or recognition under International Law. Its symbolic seat is located in the abandoned schist village of Levadas, in the municipality of Castro Daire, in the Serra de Montemuro, inland Portugal.

= Nature and Purpose = Valoria defines itself as a symbolic constitutional monarchy, conceived as a cultural, historical, and community-based project. The kingdom does not intend to exercise effective political authority over the territory where it is symbolically located, instead functioning as a platform for identity-based and creative expression.

Its main purposes include:

Preservation of the symbolic historical and cultural memory of abandoned villages in the Serra de Montemuro region;

Creation of symbolic institutions and documents, such as a Magna Carta, royal decrees, and advisory bodies;

Promotion of political imagination, heraldry, and values associated with monarchical tradition;

Development of collective cultural, artistic, and identity-based projects.

== Etymology == The name "Valoria" derives from the Portuguese word valor (meaning courage, honor, and determination), combined with a symbolic evocation of glory. The name reflects the kingdom’s founding ideals, linked to nobility of character, cultural identity, and the historical heritage of the region.

== History == === Background === The area where Valoria is symbolically located shows evidence of human occupation since the Chalcolithic period and was integrated into the Roman province of Lusitania. The Serra de Montemuro region preserves ruins, oral traditions, and architectural heritage associated with different historical periods.

=== Foundation === On 20 June 2025, the Act of Foundation of Valoria was announced, unifying the Kingdom of Montemor and the Kingdom of Boavista. The proclamation symbolically restored the kingdom, based on:

12th-century historical documents;

Oral traditions regarding a small, unrecognized medieval state;

The existence of ruins of an ancient settlement.
